In
addition to leaving me stranded in Taiwan
for the better part of a week, the 9-11 attack was
a personal catastrophe for me and the school for which
I worked. I had spent most of the summer of 2001 in
China successfully lining up students for the fall
term. That work vanished with the destruction of the
World Trade Center. In an effort to salvage something
my Principal and I went up to Canada to see if we
could redirect some of our students to Canadian schools,
which seemed safer to Chinese parents. We didn't meet
with much success but I did get some interesting shots
of Vancouver on a breathtakingly beautiful afternoon.
To have a little fun, I used Photoshop and Panavue
Image Assembler to create a panoramic view of Vancouver.
