Everyone knows about the big Cuban community in South Florida. There is also a lesser known but just as vibrant Venezuelan community. They seem to be centered around Boca Raton, about 40 minutes north of Miami. Last Christmas I met a beautiful Venezuelan ex-pat, Nelly Molinos, who organized a group of Venezuelan's into a group that puts on an a series of concerts around South Florida featuring Venezuelan Christmas music. It's a very lively and entertaining show; definitely a different cultural experience. Be sure to download or view online a video of their performance.
