If
I have to say so myself, I make beautiful babies and,
like most doting parents, I have hundreds of very
special pictures of them. Unfortunately, I have "temporarily
lost" many of my favorites :-( For Christmas
of 2002, I gave myself a new scanner with a film/slide
adaptor because I wanted to preserve some of these
precious images. I scanned some really cute ones,
spent hours cleaning them up and sent a few to my
daughter, Rhonda (now 37!), a graphic designer in
Chicago. She was so excited that she wanted me to
send her all my pix and she would design a book for
me. While busily scanning and "cleaning up"
some of these images my hard drive failed.
I
say "temporarily lost" because the images
are still available but the work I'd done to restore
them is lost and will have to be redone. To give some
small idea of the work I will have to redo to restore
them, I've included some examples of the images in
their unrestored state. Thanx to members of Fujigroup.net,
I learned how to use the "healing" and "patch"
tools in photoshop. The photo of Rhonda, one of my
"all time favorites", is the beneficiary
of my new found proficiency.
